Improve existing systemsRestaurants and ordering

Helping a restaurant retain its tills and connect orders to the kitchen

The restaurant already owned checkout and printing equipment, but staff re-entered QR orders. We checked devices and interfaces, then connected tables, item options and preparation updates, including changes and printing failures.

Client: a restaurant with existing checkout equipment. Teams: floor staff, cashiers and kitchen staff. End users: diners.

01

Customers ordered once, staff passed the order again

The existing till remained useful, but table orders and kitchen devices did not share a complete workflow. Additions and cancellations depended on verbal messages.

02

Check devices before choosing the connection

We reviewed printers, kitchen displays, network conditions and till interfaces, retaining usable equipment and agreeing which system and team owned each order state.

03

Include amendments and device failures

Table identity, options, additions, removals and preparation feedback stay connected. Printing records identify retries and duplicate notifications so failures do not lead to unexplained repeat preparation.

04

Let front and back of house share the order

Staff can follow preparation while the kitchen works from current information. Device inventories, interface configuration and offline recovery guidance support daily operation.
