Improve existing systemsLocal delivery

Helping a delivery company connect platform orders to dispatch

Orders already reached the platform, but dispatchers still forwarded addresses to riders. We retained the order entry point and connected dispatch, acceptance and delivery updates, with exceptions tied to the original order.

Client: a local delivery operator. Teams: dispatch, riders and support. End users: merchant partners and recipients.

01

An order still needed a chat message to move

Addresses and delivery results travelled through group messages. Changes, cancellations and reassignment required staff to reconstruct which task belonged to which order.

02

Establish a stable order and task identity

We checked the existing interfaces, agreed ownership of each status and retained the client's order platform rather than duplicating its useful functions.

03

Connect reassignment and cancellation as well

The integration covers dispatch, rider acceptance and completion, with timestamps and operators. Explicit rules govern address changes, repeated notifications, rejections and cancellations.

04

Give dispatch and support a shared task history

Staff can trace delivery progress and exceptions to the order. Interface mappings, state definitions and recovery guidance support maintenance and additional order sources.
